IWSD Graduation Ceremony 2025:

 A Proud Celebration of WASH Excellence

On Friday, 21 November 2025, the Institute of Water and Sanitation Development (IWSD) came alive with joy, applause and a deep sense of accomplishment as we hosted our latest graduation ceremony on campus in Harare .It was a truly special morning. Graduates from across our range of professional programmes in water supply, sanitation, hygiene promotion and integrated water resources management gathered with their families, lecturers, guest dignitaries and proud colleagues to mark the successful completion of their studies.

The atmosphere was electric: smiles everywhere, caps tossed in celebration, and heartfelt speeches that reminded everyone in the room why this work matters so much. From young engineers stepping into their careers to seasoned practitioners adding new skills to their toolkit, every graduate represented real commitment to solving the region’s pressing water and sanitation challenges.

Throughout the ceremony, speakers highlighted the practical, hands-on nature of IWSD training and how our graduates leave not just with certificates, but with the confidence and competence to make an immediate difference in communities, municipalities, NGOs and government departments across Southern Africa.

For the IWSD family — staff, alumni, partners and supporters — it was another powerful reminder of our shared mission: building capacity, changing lives and ensuring that safe water and dignified sanitation reach every household.

To every member of the graduating class: thank you for your hard work, your passion and your trust in IWSD. You have joined a growing network of WASH professionals who are truly shaping a better future.

And to everyone reading this who feels inspired by what you’ve seen: our next intake begins in January 2026. The journey that ended so triumphantly last Friday can be yours too.
